Sonakshi Sinha comes from a prestigious Bollywood family, with her father Shatrughan Sinha being an acclaimed actor, producer and politician, and mother Poonam Kapoor who was former Ms India. She has two elder brothers, Luv and Kush, who are twins. Sonakshi was born in Patna, Bihar and did her schooling from Mumbai, followed by a fashion designing course from the same city. Before she started her acting career, Sonakshi worked as a costume designer for a 2005 movie called “Mera Dil Leke Dekho”. She also featured in the Lakme Fashion Week of 2008 and 2009. Sonakshi set an example of true grit and determination, by shedding off 30 kg to make a career as a movie star in Bollywood. She was also seen on the cover page of the December 2010 issue of the Indian edition of the international fashion magazine, Maxim.
