She has two brothers, while two of her cousin sisters, Priyanka and Meera are already working in Bollywood movies. Parineeti did her schooling from Convent of Jesus and Mary in Ambala. She was a meritorious student and pursued her further education in London, where she joined the prestigious Manchester United School to pursue a triple honors degree in business, finance and economics. She intended to become an investment banker but fate drew her to the glamour industry and she joined the public relations department of the leading film banner Yash Raj Films. Parineeti hated the acting profession because she never liked the thought of wearing excessive make up, but while working at Yash Raj Films, she developed interest in acting and decided to take it up as a profession. She has also learnt classical music. Today, she is among the sought after actresses in the industry and has achieved a place in Verve’s Most Powerful Women in 2011.
The journey from being a PR professional to one of the hottest young divas in the industry was an eventful one for Parineeti, who had to lose quite a lot of weight as she was on the heavier side.
