He spent his childhood at various locations across the country, and started training in martial arts at a tender age of three years from an ashram run by his mother in Kerala. As he grew up, Vidyut specialized in various forms of martial arts including Kalaripayat, Jiu Jitsu and Gymnastics. He performed martial arts shows all over the world before starting his acting career. His fit physique and good looks beckoned him to a career in modeling and later, films. He is a health conscious person and a pure vegetarian, earning the title of PETA’s hottest vegetarian for 2014.
