Career

It is known that he started his career with National School of Drama where he worked for about 12 to 13 years as an actor. He soon started getting a role in movies and the first movie that he worked in was Shola and Shabnam. The movie was released in 1992 and it is known that the same year, he also got a chance to work in the movie Chamatkar. Since then he worked in many famous movies and the total number of movies he worked in is about 60. He gained a lot of fame after working as a police officer in the movie and that soon became his identity. He got more and more roles of a police officer in the movies. Some of the famous movies that Govind worked in are Sarfarosh, Pukar Raju Chacha, Dum, Garv: Pride and Honor, Wanted and Singham. In later years of career he also a role in movies like OMG – Oh My God, Boss, and Singham Returns. Two of his latest movies are JD and Anna. His career had not been restricted to Movies as he also worked in some the TV shows. In total, he worked in 6 TV shows and the famous one among them are Aahat, Abhimaan, and Your Honor.  Because of his contribution in the field of entertainment, he also received several awards, to start with, he receives a Madhya Pradesh Ratna.
