Many of these small budget movies have gone on to become big successes at the box offices, besides earning huge applause from national and international audience.

Based on the theme of feminism, the film was shot all the way in Kolkata and made with a meager budget of Rs 80 million, but went on to gross as much as Rs 1.04 billion in just 50 days.
