He was interested in acting right from his childhood and was an avid participant in theater since his school days. He took acting as a full time career only after completing his education.
Abhay Deol made his film debut with “Socha Na Tha”, an Imtiaz Ali movie which was released in 2005 and starred him opposite Ayesha Takia. The film fetched him positive reviews. The film was followed by “Ahista Ahista” and “Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd”, which brought him quite a great deal of appreciation from the critics.
